Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has reported that Cambodia has received another newborn baby dolphin at Kampi Dolphin Canyon, Kratie Province. Please be informed that this is the eighth newborn dolphin that has been recorded by professional officials in 2023.

According to the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on the evening of November 4, 2023, said that the newborn dolphin is only about 2 days old. The baby dolphin was spotted at 13:50 on November 4, 2023.

Following a tip-off from the Kampi dolphin tour boat crew, a team from the Fisheries Administration and WWF arrived at the site and photographed the baby dolphin swimming in a herd of about six dolphins in Kampi village. Kampi, Sambok commune, Chit Borey district, Kratie province, with standard 48P: 0610405 and UTM: 1390877. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, after a two-hour observation, the Fisheries Administration and WWF observed that there was no abusive activity by large dolphins on the newborn dolphins.
