Colombia President: landslide claimed at least 27 lives.

President Gustavo Petro announced on Monday that at least 27 people were murdered after a landslide swallowed a road in northwest Colombia, trapping people inside a bus and other vehicles (Dec 5).

Petro said on Twitter that the tragedy that occurred on Sunday in a rural section of the Pueblo Rico municipality had claimed the lives of 27 individuals so far, including three minors.
The president announced three deaths on Sunday night as scores of rescuers looked for survivors.

According to one survivor, the bus driver was able to avoid the worst of the landslide.

The bus was a little bit off balance as some of it was falling down.
