Jayavarman VII Hospital (Kantha Bopha III) rescues a baby with a stomach and small intestine from the womb to survive.

Siem Reap: A baby with a stomach and small intestine protruding from the abdomen (Gastroschisis) was successfully operated on and rescued by Jayavarman VII Hospital (Kantha Bopha III) and survived. According to the official Facebook page of Jayavarman VII Hospital, on December 16, 2022, “A newborn baby weighing 2 kg has a stomach and small intestine. Gastroschisis is delivered by caesarean section.” In Thailand. According to Jayavarman VII Hospital, a hospital in Thailand is required to pay 1 million baht for surgical treatment of a baby girl. The mother, who could not afford to pay for the operation, decided to take the baby back to Jayavarman VII Hospital in Siem Reap. In treating the baby, doctors from Jayavarman VII Hospital performed four surgeries and required him to stay in hospital for 33 days, including one week of resuscitation.

After successful treatment, the baby was healthy and the hospital allowed the mother to bring her back home in Banteay Meanchey province on December 16, 2022 yesterday.
