Stung Treng: The first Aisin school building of Sam Ang Primary School in Thala Parivat district, Stung Treng province was officially inaugurated today. The first Aisin School building of Sam Ang Primary School, which was inaugurated this morning, January 18, 2023, has 6 classrooms with the help of Plan and Plan International Korea.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Governor of Stung Treng Province, Mr. Svay Sam Eang, and was also attended by the Executive Director of Plan International Cambodia in Stung Treng Province, Mr. Phen Bunthoeun, Provincial, District Leaders, Relevant Units, 3 Forces, Teachers, Students and Citizens. Located in Sam Ang commune, Thala Borivat district, Stung Treng province, a lot of people.
Plan International Cambodia Executive Director in Stung Treng, Mr. Phen Bunthoeun, said at the ceremony that Plan International has been implementing the project from 2017 to the present for seven years and has been working in 97 villages in some communes. 23 and 5 districts, except for Stung Treng.
He stated that the achievement of a school with 5 classrooms is really contributing to meet the needs of the Department of Community Education as well as young people to get a good education because Plan clearly understands that the education sector is A key for the development of an indispensable national development base.
Stung Treng Provincial Governor Svay Sam Eang said that among all sectors, the education sector is one of the key factors in the priority sector, which strives to promote the education sector to be more efficient and effective, increase the knowledge of human resources to be more diverse. And human resources are an important factor that leads to nation building, national leadership progress. Schools must have all levels at the grassroots level to make it easier for students to acquire knowledge to reduce illiteracy rates and in response to government policies.
The Governor of Stung Treng Province called on all citizens, parents and guardians to make every effort to encourage their children to attend school in order to increase their knowledge, ability and improve the quality of education in Cambodia. The authorities, partner organizations, including all relevant departments and units must continue to make more efforts to develop the local and national development under the shadow of peace.
