Battambang: Prek Toal Ecotourism Community is one of the three biodiversity hotspots of the Tonle Sap Lake. Prek Toal is a large and attractive bird sanctuary, becoming an area that receives many tourists every year. Prek Toal Ecotourism Community is located in Prek Toal Village, Koh Chiveang Commune, Ek Phnom District, Battambang Province, about 100 km from Battambang City by boat. Potentials in the community include: diverse birds, Tonle Sap Lake landscapes, flooded forest landscapes, floating villages, fishing communities, handicrafts, and more. Services at the association include food and beverage services, tour guides, boat transfers, lodging services and souvenir shops. According to Visitcambodia, Prek Toal is a place where many rare species of birds come to live in large numbers and create attractive nests. Between December and February, visitors will also see a spectacular collection of many species of birds. As the waters began to recede, birds from all over gathered here.
