Kampong Chhnang Province: A house was completely burnt down in a fire incident in Teuk Phos district, Kampong Chhnang province. According to the report from the authorities, the fire occurred at 8:45 on January 23, 2023 this morning. The house of a villager who was destroyed by fire is located at Lu Trach point in Damnak Khlong village, Kdol Sen Chey commune, Teuk Phos district, Kampong Chhnang province.
Teuk Phos District Police Inspector Colonel Khem Vibol said that the owner of the house that was completely burnt down was Oeun Ratha, a 41-year-old man and his wife Lo Dalin, 38, who had four children in their care.
Teuk Phos District Police Inspector also confirmed that in the fire incident, this house caused damage to a house measuring 5m × 4m, zinc roof, board wall, floorboards, 7m × 20m, fire. Residence book, family book, birth certificate of 6 family members, 2 ID cards, 6 vaccination cards. And some other materials as well.
According to local authorities, the cause of the fire was a power outage while the homeowner was not at home. Immediately after the incident, police from the Kdol Sen Chey administrative post and the district police force, along with the people, immediately intervened to put out the fire.
Kdol Sen Chey commune chief confirmed that so far, the Red Cross in Teuk Phos district has brought food items to the families affected by the fire.
