Never interrupted. The locals believe that the celebration will bring happiness and prosperity to the villagers and that there will be no more incidents or diseases.

According to the study and observation of the working group of the Department of Research, Training and Documentation of the National Authority of Preah Vihear in the area of Koh Ker temple resort, it shows that the people in the two ancient villages, Koh Ker and Sambo, have always practiced their faith. Its animation is constant. The Ascension Ceremony in Sambo Village is similar to the Ascension Ceremony in Koh Ker Village, with the same common purpose. The purpose of this celebration is twofold. First, it is made to ask for happiness in living and making a living by farming more productively from the owner of the water, the landlord (Neak Ta) who takes care of their area to live with a portrait. And also to communicate with the elders. Second, they are made to drive away evil spirits from their community through an act of ascension, also known as the “expulsion of evil spirits” or “expulsion of evil spirits from the village.”

The Department of Research, Training and Documentation of the National Authority of Preah Vihear will soon document the history of this ceremony to disseminate to mankind, to better understand the ancestral heritage of the superstitious religious beliefs of the people in both villages This.
