Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports organized a meeting on the results of the revision of the textbook, which was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Dr. Hang Chuon Naron. The meeting held on October 23, 2023 is a meeting that focuses on the results of the improvement of five textbooks, including: Mathematics, Science, Khmer Language, Khmer Literature and Social Studies.

According to the report, the team has now completed the revision of the textbooks for the five subjects 100%, according to nine indicators:

1- Improve to around 20% to 30%

2- Organize the order of chapter and lesson titles by feeding the content of the improvement to the new curriculum 2018

3- Editing vocabulary, spells, phrases, formulas, symbols

4-Update lesson content

5- Change some pictures from black and white to natural color

6-Edit questions and exercises to suit the PISA test

7- Editing lessons from content form to concept form

8- Incorporate teaching methods

9. Mainstream four major topics: win-win policy (January 7 values), patriotic views, environmental education and climate change, and global civic education.

Please note that the components for reviewing and improving textbooks in mathematics, science, Khmer language, Khmer literature and social studies are as follows: Department of Curriculum Development, Department of Secondary Education, Department of Education Quality Assurance, Department of Training and Vocational Training, National Institute of Education, Phnom Penh Pedagogical Institute, Phnom Penh Institute Technology of Cambodia, Kandal Provincial Regional Pedagogical Center, Royal Academy of Cambodia, Royal University of Phnom Penh, Printing and Publishing House, Royal University of Agriculture, Pannasastra University, University of Health Sciences, Former Author of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Good Teacher.
